May 2008 - Cani-Cross Half Marathon
At the beginning of May we travelled down to Stonehenge to take part in the Neolithic Half Marathon with both Tilly and Lola. After a very early start the run got underway at 10.30am on a very dull overcast day (perfect running conditions!) The dogs both started very stongly and carried on in a similar fashion throughout the whole of the hilly 13 mile course. I was over the moon to finish in a time of 1hour 45mins and ended up 3rd female, 10th overall. We will definately be going back next year to have another go.
3rd February 2008 - Cani-Cross
Another excellent result to report for the pointers! Today we went along to another race, this time in Fineshade Woods (nr Corby). As Jonathan is not about I entered the 2 dog competition and am delighted to report that we won! We were over 2 minutes faster than second place, largely I think due to Lola being ever so keen to get around the very very muddy course.
23rd September 2007 - Cani-Cross
We competed in our first Cani-Cross (running with dogs) event today at Hop Farm in Kent. Jonathan and Lola finished third in their group (6th fastest of the day) and Tilly and I finished 2nd in our group. We all had great fun and came home laden with goodies. Hopefully I should be having another go at this in February so have plenty of time for a bit more training!
12th April 07 - Summer is Officially Here!
The girls have decided that now the sun is shinning summer must be here and they have commenced their warm weather fitness regime. This consists of swimming at any given opportunity!
23rd March 07 - Tilly is a Centrefold (almost)!
The wonderful pic of Tilly on our front page wins a photography competition in our local paper. The picture was published on the 23rd March (my birthday). Tilly has not let the fame go to her head, yet!
